Oyster rockefeller

Oysters are a Louisiana classic. As someone who grew up in Louisiana I love eating and making my own Oysters. This style of oysters offers a creamy center with spinach.

How to shuck an oyster? - clean the shell of your oyster then boil or steam them until they pop open. This is how you will know they are done.

Ingredients

  • 12 oysters

  • 1 cup frozen spinach 2 cup fresh stem off 

  • 1 stick unsalted butter

  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion 

  • 1 cup Romano cheese 

  • 1 cup heavy cream 

  • Bread crumbs 

instructions

  1. clean and shuck oysters

  2. heat unsalted butter in pan

  3. add chopped yellow onion and spinach in pan

  4. add heavy cream, cheese and top with creole seasoning and mix

  5. place oysters on baking sheet then add sauce on each oyster, top with bread crumbs

  6. add oysters to pre heated oven at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

  7. plate and enjoy
